At Mentoring Miracles, we strive to empower foster youth through mentoring and education. We aim to help these kids build confidence and plan for their future because we believe every child deserves someone who believes in them. Our founders, Marianne and Constanza Dominguez, want to give these kids the same opportunities they’ve had the privilege of experiencing. By having our Youth Board working alongside us and volunteers engage in hands-on activities, we open doors of opportunity and help foster youth find their passions and paths in life.

To help foster kids discover their passions and find their path in life by exposing them to different job opportunities, guiding them toward a successful future.

To lower the percentage rate of foster youth that end up going down the wrong path when they leave the foster care system.

This all began when founders Marianne and Constanza Dominguez decided to donate their third-grade birthday gifts to a local foster home, His House. After finding out that their uncle grew up in that very same foster home, they took it as a sign that they had to do more. Over the years, they continued to donate, but they came to realize that what the kids truly needed was guidance. That is when they decided to create an organization dedicated to supporting foster youth and helping them find their path in life.

We organize career days to expose foster youth to a wide range of job opportunities. We also host workshops at the foster home featuring guest speakers. Additionally, we connect the kids with companies for paid internships and job opportunities. For those interested in pursuing higher education, we assist in finding scholarships and other resources to support their academic goals.

Bill Edwards became a part of the foster care program when he was one year old. Like many children entering this system, Bill faced uncertainty and challenges that no child should ever face, especially alone. Born one of seven children, over the years he got separated from his siblings, returning to his biological parents when he was five, but ultimately going to a catholic children’s home at the age of seven.
Bill expressed that he would try his best to raise money, and at the age of 12, he started to work for just 50 cents an hour. As he entered high school, sports became a pivotal part of his life. Athletics not only gave him structure and purpose, but a requirement was to maintain high grades, which became a strong motivation to succeed academically. As a result, he was accepted into college on a minor scholarship. Surrounded by less-than-ideal influences both at school and in the home, Bill credits his success to the fundamental truth: It’s all about the choices you are given, and It’s up to you to choose to make the right one.
Today, he is a retired professional, husband, and father, living successfully in West Broward.. Motivated by the kindness and support shown to him during his younger years, his life now serves as a source of inspiration to youth communities in foster care—that your past does not define your future. With faith, support, and resilience, a life full of purpose, joy, and hope is possible.
